'unplugged' is Idasa Tariq's first release with 1Hood Media and since relocating back to Pittsburgh in 2013. The album features a guest appearance of University Records Music and fellow Pittsburgh artist Tutto Fresco, and boasts Tariq as the sole producer and engineer for the project.

'unplugged' is about "unplugging" from the global and local systems meant to distract us. The everyday struggle, for the everyday people.
